Quick answers

I did not get my sign-in code

  • Look in your spam or junk folder, and under "Promotions" or "Updates" if your mail app sorts messages.
  • Check the address you typed. The code goes to exactly that address, and it must be the one you joined or bought with.
  • Codes can take a minute or two. After 45 seconds you can press "Send a new code". A code works for 15 minutes.
  • One network can ask for five codes an hour for the same address. If you see "Too many codes requested", wait an hour.
  • If your address is at a company or school, its mail filter may be holding the message. Ask them to allow mail from kolesson.com.

Still nothing? Use the form on this page, choose "My account or signing in", and tell us the address you are signing in with.

I want to change my email address

You cannot change it yourself yet. Send us the form on this page from your current address if you can, with the new address in the message. We confirm with both addresses before we move the account, so that nobody else can take it. Your communities, posts and progress stay with the account.

I want to leave a community

In the app: Me, then Your communities, then "Leave" beside the community, and confirm. On the website, sign in at app.kolesson.com and open Settings, then Your communities. You are out at once: the community leaves your list and you stop getting its notifications. What you posted stays where it is; to have a post removed, delete it before you leave or ask the community's team.

If you own the community or are on its team there is no Leave button: an owner cannot leave their own community, and an admin or moderator asks the owner to make them an ordinary member first. To come back to a community you left, ask its team to add you again (the welcome community that new accounts can look around is the exception: you can walk back in from Home). If you only want fewer emails, turn them off in Settings, under Email notifications. Deleting your account takes you out of every community at once.

I want to delete my account

In the app or on the website: Settings, then "Delete my account". Without signing in: the Delete my account page sends a confirmation link to your email address. Either way you are signed out everywhere at once, and the account is erased 14 days later. Signing in again within the 14 days keeps it. The Privacy Policy says exactly what is erased and what stays.

I want to report someone

Inside a community, open the menu on the post, comment, message or profile and choose "Report". It goes to that community's moderators. You can also block a member from their profile. To report straight to us, or to report a community's own team, use the form on this page and choose "Report content or a person". We review those within 24 hours. The Community Guidelines explain what is not allowed.

I was charged by a community

KoLesson does not take payments: there are no purchases inside the app and we never charge members. If you paid for a community or a course, you paid its owner, through their own website and payment provider. For a receipt, a cancellation or a refund, contact the owner first (their name is on your receipt and on your card or bank statement). If they do not answer, your bank or card provider can dispute the charge. If you believe a community is taking money dishonestly, tell us with the form on this page and choose "A community": we can pause a community that breaks our terms, although we cannot refund a payment we never received.
